Barfly

Love this bar designed by Paulo Lobo. Not too clubby, blokey, dark or sleazy.

What to order? How about you? Make mine a Margarita please & just for reference, here's my favourite recipe.

Millie's Margarita (on the rocks, not frozen)
½ shot Pedro Ximénez sherry (yes, you read this right!)

1 shot tequila

dash of bitters

½ shot Cointreau or Triple Sec

juice of 2 limes

splash of orange juice

ice cubes

Shake with ice and strain into a margarita glass with a salted rim. Garnish with lime slices.

To be politically correct I need to add the following - be responsible, drink in moderation.

  5. Loving the shades. Isnt it nice to see a bar that doesnt carry all the norms like dark wood/walls/furniture? A breath of fresh air.
Hope you are well Miss Millie.

  9. Hi Millie
I was just catching up with your last post.. Sydney was horrid that week you were here.. unbelievable.. torrential rain and cold.. thankfully the last 2 days the sun has been out again and I can stop shivering.. Although perhaps it was that horrid weather that sent me over the edge and booked my trip to Europe.. Loved your comment.. I'll have to be my own tour director!! hahaha

So.. love these lamp shades also.. is that mirrors or stainless steel on that bar.. either way it looks terrific..

Sorry I'm such an absent blogger.. I really have been letting it all slide these last few months.. you're a sweetie to pop over..

Have a great day.. ciao xxx Julie

  10. Ah yes, I am sitting here being responsible and drinking in moderation. Across the world, I imagine you and MOTH are as well. Three souls united in sensible prudence.
